Positions Berlin 2024: Berlin, Germany

For the first time, we are presenting works by the young Berlin-based artist Shanee Roe (*1996, New York City) in a solo presentation at POSITIONS Berlin 2024.

The artist, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and Leipzig under Daniel Richter and Christoph Ruckhäberle, explores intimate interpersonal situations in urban and peripheral spaces in her paintings and drawings. Her new works address power dynamics ranging from explicit sexuality to deep compassion.
