Abu Dhabi Art 2025: Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are delighted to take part in this year’s Abu Dhabi Art, presenting Simin Jalilian, Yasaman Nozari, and Tammam Azzam in the Emerge Sector.

The three artists, originally from Tehran and Damascus and now based in Europe, share an engagement with memory, political reality, and the search for new forms of expression across cultures. Their works emerge from the experience of a world in transition – between origin and present, loss and renewal.

Simin Jalilian reinterprets images from world politics, where decisions of war and peace are made into multilayered reflections on responsibility and humanity. Yasaman Nozari extends her classical training into an abstract, poetic form of painting in which corporeality is only subtly suggested.

Tammam Azzam transforms the destruction of Syrian cities into collages and paintings that shape meaning and hope from ruins.  Together, they create art that transcends borders and reveals the human condition within the tension of memory and transformation.
