Agnes Lammert studied with Neo Rauch in Leipzig, among others, and has had a number of solo exhibitions there. In her drawings and sculptures, the artist deals with the sculptural quality of materiality. She is interested in the in-between, the cavities that arise in the sculptural molding process in the mold negative, and which she fills with wax, plaster, concrete, plastics or bronze.
She has been teaching at the Academy of Visual Arts since 2018.
