Larissa Kikol
Larissa Kikol (1986*) lives and works between Marseille and Cologne as a freelance art critic and art historian. She writes for Die Zeit, art the art magazine, art newspaper, mare the magazine of the seas, Monopol Online and for Kunstforum International. Here she published the thematic volumes Politics, Ethics, Art (2018), Graffiti Now (2019) and Contemporary Liberation Painting (2020) Art=Play (2021) and Post-Vandalism (2023). In 2016 she won the international Talents competition of the C/O America House for art criticism. In 2021 she received an author's grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia which resulted in the publication “Use the art!”, an invitation from Kettler Verlag. Kikol teaches and lectures in Germany and France at art schools and universities. Kikol completed her studies in stage design and dramaturgy in Berlin Weißensee and received her doctorate in art theory from the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.
