Art Cologne Palma Mallorca 2026: Palma Mallorca, Spain
For the inaugural edition of Art Cologne Palma De Mallorca, KORNFELD Galerie is pleased to present a focused group of artists whose practices engage with image-making, materiality, and the shifting conditions of perception. At Booth G 237, the presentation brings together works by Charlie Stein, Johanna Reich, O Bastardo, and Olasunkanmi Akomolehin, alongside sculptural works by Jay Gard.
Spanning painting, drawing, and sculpture, the presentation is shaped by a deliberate interplay of restraint and intensity. Johanna Reich’s subtle drawings stand in contrast to the colour-laden, materially assertive paintings by Charlie Stein, Olasunkanmi Akomolehin and O Bastardo. This juxtaposition foregrounds differing approaches to surface, colour, and narrative, while Jay Gard’s sculptural work anchors the presentation spatially, extending the dialogue into the realm of objecthood.
The booth proposes a dialogue between surface and structure, illusion and objecthood, inviting viewers to navigate between mediated realities and tactile presence. In doing so, it offers a concise yet layered insight into current artistic positions that challenge conventional boundaries between disciplines and modes of seeing.
